Is it possible to have different methods to access a particular column in a SQL table?

I have a table containing some simple data in SQL Server.
I want to have some different queries (different method) for reading a particular column of the table.
For example:
create table tb (id int, column1 varchar(10), column2 varchar(10))
insert into tb (id, column1, column2) values (1, ‘1’, ‘1’)
insert into tb (id, column1, column2) values (2, ‘2’, ‘2’)

Method 1:
select id from tb
Method 2:
select column1 from tb
Method 3:
select column2 from tb

Yes, you can do it.
Just create an auxiliary view:
create view YourTableView as
select id, column1, column2 from YourTable;

Your all queries on YourTableView will be faster, since SQL Server does not have to build data needed for queries and show the data just to make them.

You can “dummy” out the column you don’t want:
SELECT id, dummyColumn FROM tb

Or, you can create an “alias” of the table, and use it for the dummy column:
SELECT id, dummy AS col1 FROM tb

If you “protect” the column you really want from yourself using an “alias”, you can do something like this:
SELECT id FROM (SELECT id, column2 FROM tb) AS dummy WHERE dummy.column2 = ‘your code’
